Over Guitar Hero!

You might remember one of my older posts, were I got together with a few friends and we had a Guitar Hero night. Afterwards I had Diegos Xbox360 over for a few days and played the hell out of the games' story modes, when I discovered that one had Rush's Yyz in it. I was so extremely flashed that I could've died right then.

Now imagine my excitement upon seeing this trailer for Guitar Hero: Warriors Of Rock. I'm not much into that "warriors" thing (Brütal Legend for that matter wouldn't interest me that much), but this game has me dancing through the room. I'm a giant Rush fan, always have been, and now they're making a game about the story of their album 2112 - which means the developers are actually using every song from 2112 in its entirety.
I'm so turned on right now.

The setlist seems to be very excellent - this being the first time since the first Guitar Hero that I feel confident to say that about any game of that kind. Money For Nothing by Dire Straits, No Way Back by Foo Fighters, fucking Bohemian Rhapsody!

I don't own any of the modern consoles, and never have I regretted that - until now. Consider me a lunatic, but this is the first game that I would actually consider buying a new console for. I won't do it of course - but who knows, maybe in a few months or years, there'll be a bundle with a console and Warriors Of Rock for a buck or two...

Oh well, one can dream.

Randomness on Relationships

There was a post I did some time ago, about people marrying the strangest people/things. But what happens before exchanging rings?
So today I found this Top 11 List on 11Points.com, a site I frequently visit. It summarizes the 11 most obscure online dating sites - did you know that there's a dating site for people who wear diapers? Or for World Of Warcraft addicts? And of course, for farmers. Good for them!

And if you're still considering getting a boyfriend/girlfriend, go right ahead - but first, have a look at these top lists of worst boyfriends and worst girlfriends. You'll find that sometimes even singles can feel lucky. Guys, be warned: There's two entries on the girlfriend-list that revolve around a dude losing his wang.

Oh, and of course the Internet provides you with enough inspiration to be the worst partner ever. My favourite advice:

Venturing The Interwebs: Photography

There's a lot of great photography sites on the net, and those are the most recent I have stumbled upon.


Roads leading to nowhere- despite some pictures having a poor quality, these shots are absolutely amazing. Can't pick favourites, but I definitely like the mysteriously unfinished bridges, and everything sand-, water- and beachrelated (I really need a day at the beach right now).

The Moscow underground river Neglinnaya -  creepy! Those photographs have something very alien to them. I love how the photographer used the given light spots and sources.

Dad and Son Switched - These manipulated family portraits are hilarious. Simple, yet effective. And of course, Michael Jackson has a cameo.

The VERY First Kiss - Adorable snapshots. The 8th one is my favourite :D I think my mom still has a picture of me kissing a girl in kindergarten somewhere... if I recall correctly I was more into blondes at the time ;)  Do you still remember your very first kisses?

The Chess Kid - I like that. I'll keep that one in mind.

Perrier by Dita

Everyone knows Dita Von Teese. And everyone knows mineral water. So why not combine?

While I prefer ladies that don't feel the need to hump androgynous musicians or put stuff into their breasts, I do like the art of burlesque and pin-up photography. And I like mineral water. This is why I like this video (also the music's kinda cool):

...admittedly, some things I posted here came from friends and readers, but hey, maybe we can make this an official segment or something?

My fellow lady blog writer and Madame Awesome Tiny sent me some pictures AGES ago, but somehow I never felt like doing anything for my blog recently. Now I do! And it feels good.
