Rated FA for FUCKIN AWESOME

First Sonic the Hedgehog, because he has been awesome since I was 4 years old.

Next up Neil Patrick Harris, because he has defined Awesomeness in a whole new way. This might be the most epic video I have seen in a long time: We got NPH, sexy stewardesses, a Spider-Man reference and a suit within a suit within a suit - all packed into a broadway-style presentation. I really don't get along well with musicals, but this is FABULOUS i mean awesome.

(...and even if Brooke Shields makes for a pretty cringeworthy drawback, NPH saves the day.)

Perrier by Dita

Everyone knows Dita Von Teese. And everyone knows mineral water. So why not combine?

While I prefer ladies that don't feel the need to hump androgynous musicians or put stuff into their breasts, I do like the art of burlesque and pin-up photography. And I like mineral water. This is why I like this video (also the music's kinda cool):

'Ripper? I hardly know her!'

There was a time when, in video games, actual videos were not as common as they are today. Cutscences (if available) often consisted of clumsily programmed movements scripted in-game; later on ugly CGI became popular.

Games I grew up with: In-game cutscene in Sonic 3...

...and a CGI cutscene in Tomb Raider. It was pretty at the time.

Of course, the ugly CGI graphics became the beautiful and sometimes even photorealistic visuals we have in modern video games. But before that, in the early to mid-nineties to be vaguely exact, FMV (Full Motion Video) was all the rage. (More after the jump.)

Trailer magic

I like movies, of course, who doesn't. Nevertheless I've never been a great fan of b-movies, trash films or anything like that - they're funny for a few minutes, but sooner or later I find myself wishing for something of higher production value; something where you CAN'T see the strings on the hero's back.

But I found that movie trailers, as little as I like them for high production films, can provide lots of fun without having to sit through a whole low budget film. You get to experience the best scenes from the movie - granted, you don't get to choose what's regarded the best, but really, I don't mind in this case - and you even get to listen to some campy, over the top narrator, explaining to you why this particular movie IS THE SHIT.
Honestly, take a look at this one and tell me it's not awesome, I dare you:
